Park day!

Mama and Meg and I went to the park today. We met up with my friends Mason and Ari to play and eat lunch. Here's a few pictures of me and Meg.

Meg wasn't too sure what to think about all the kids running around.

After a while, she decided it was okay, and fell asleep.

Yellow dress

This is my yellow dress. You can't tell from this picture, but my socks have a yellow stripe at the top, too.

Meg

These are Meg's coolest pants.

Meg is extra-cute in her pink hat.

My friend Wilma

Wilma and I are better friends than ever now! She likes me a lot because one of her very favorite things to do is ingress or egress, and I can open the back door! So here she is, sharing a moment with me.

Art

Mama and I did an art project... we painted shapes.

Here I'm working with the triangle shape and the pink paint. I've already used the circle shape and the yellow paint. Notice how clean my shirt is!

Here's the finished products. And yes, my shirt is still clean!

Paparazzi

The paparazzi was after me, so I had to hide behind these shades.

2 Month Meg

Meg has two months! She went to the doctor today, which wasn't super-fun. Anyway, they weighed and measured Meg and they gave Meg shots. Meg didn't like getting shots, but now she won't get diptheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B, haemophilus influenzae type b or rotavirus. oh, also she won't get the pneumococcal conjugate, either... whatever all of that stuff is.

Meg is still pretty little, but she's bigger than the kitty now. She's 21" long, which is in the 25th percentile. She weighs 9lbs., 11 oz., and that's between the 5th and 10th percentile. And her head is in the 50th percentile. So my sister is pretty much a miniature baby, but she's growing good.

Before and After

This is Mama and Meg, fixin' to go on a walk with me and Daddy.

Meg got tired along the way.

A Fringe Benefit

A fringe benefit to having a baby sister is that my stuffed friends can use her stuff. But only if she's not using it.

The bear, for example, likes the carseat and the bonnet.

See?

I do not like the bath, Sam I Am.

I do not like the bath, Sam I Am.

I do not like it with a duck.
I do not like it in a truck.

I do not like it with a fish.
I do not like it with a dish.

I do not like it even with bubbles.
Oh! What bathing troubles!

I do not like it with the cat,
I do not like this ugly bathmat.

I do not like it with a monkey,
I prefer smelling funky.

I do not like it when they wet my hair.
I do not like it anywhere.

I do not like it when they wet my toes.
Nor do I like when they take my clothes.

I do not want water in my eyes,
Hence these terrible, horrible cries.

I truly prefer to stay dirty,
the bath seems so hurty.

Please leave my hair crusty!
please allow me to stay dusty!

Please leave me grimy!
Please let me be slimy!

I liked the bath fine before,
but I do not like it anymore.

New pictures!

I can put up some new pictures! Our computer had a bit of an issue with something called the hard drive... that has to do with the computer remembering things. But ours forgot. Anyhoo, here's some new pictures to look at.

Daddy's Girls

I like sitting with my daddy. And so does my sister, Meg. But it's not a problem - he makes room for both of us! And for my baby doll, too.

Tricky piano playing

Ooooooh

Outdoor Art

I like drawing, and I like outside. So I especially like drawing outside.

Where'd that other color get to??

Whew.. I got it. Back to work!

Sleepy Meg

Shhhh... Meg's sleeping.

Here's she's not sleeping, but she is sleepy.

Occasionally, she's neither sleeping nor sleepy.

Backyard Fun

We raked leaves.

We collected acorns.

Wilma likes acorns.

Petting Zoo

We went to the zoo last week. Most of the animals you shouldn't pet, but some of them you can. This is a goat and I tickled its ear.

Books

Grandma Mary likes books.

Grandpa Bruce likes books.

I like books, too.

The Park

I had fun at the park with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Bruce!

A Kiss

Meg and I will be great friends.

2 Week Vital Statistics

Sister Meg is 2 weeks old. Well, she was yesterday too, but I didn't tell about it yesterday. Anyway, she went to the doctor and they measured her. She's still pretty little, but she's growing. Meg is 19 3/4" long (they say long instead of tall because she doesn't know how to stand up). Meg weighs 7 lbs. and 3 oz., and her head circumference is 37.3. Those measurements are respectively in the 25th, 25th and 75th percentiles for her age. Wilma the cat still weighs more than Meg the sister.

First Bath!

Meg had her first bath last week. It was a great time!

First we filled up the baby tub with water and bubbles and Meg.

Then we washed Meg.

Then we dried Meg and we all got dry clothes.

Cuteness

Grandpa Paul and Mimi bought me a Valentine's Day balloon. This picture is less about the balloon and more about me, though.

We had a very cold week. When my daddy and I went to the parts store to get a new master cylinder (whatever that is), he helped me bundle up first.

Sister

Here's a couple pictures of the much anticipated "sister" they've been talking about. Her name is Meg.

This is Meg. She came from a place called the "hospital"... I guess that's where babies come from. Anyway, she's really little. Wilma the cat weighs more than Meg the sister.

This is Daddy with Meg. He likes her a lot.

This is Mama with Meg. She likes Meg a lot.

Soon I'll put up some pictures of me and Meg. I like Meg a lot. So far, though, whenever I'm close to Meg they're not taking pictures, they're hovering over me or telling me to give her back her little hat or not pull on her or sit on her. We'll work on it, though. It seems like we'll have plenty of time - they say "sister" is staying.
